LLC.
Manfred “Fred” Becker,
Director of Sales and Marketing, Thielenhaus Microfinish
Corp., Novi, Michigan. Mr. Becker emigrated from Germany to the
United States in 1960 and built a successful electrical
contracting company. In 1964, Mr. Becker became a joint
venture Partner in C.W. Decker, a manufacturer of underground
boring and tunneling equipment, where he invented and
patented new construction equipment. In 1983, he joined
Thielenhaus Microfinish Corp., a turnkey Microfinishing
Machine Tool builder that serves the transportation,
anti friction bearing, and medical apparatus industries
in the United States. As Director of Process Development,
he developed new equipment and process technologies
for precision finishing and machining, including seven
patents in his name. He currently leads marketing and
sales for Thielenhaus as Director of Sales and Marketing
and he recently filed patents for his invention of
the Electro Chemical Finishing (ECF) machine. Mr. Becker
is an expert in the field of machine tools and precision
microfinishing processes. Maschinenfabrik Ernst Thielenhaus
GmbH, the parent company, located in Wuppertal, Germany,
has been in the machine tool business since 1909. The
family enterprise is recognized internationally as
a pioneer in high precision machining with annual sales
exceeding $50 million. Mr. Becker’s formal education
includes journeyman electrician training in Germany
and a four-year technical training program in Germany.
Daniel P. Egenolf,
President, Flexon USA, LLC, Indianapolis, Indiana,
President, Egenolf Industrial Group, Indianapolis,
Indiana.
Mr. Egenolf’s career began with the
Allison Transmission company in 1984 as a Manufacturing
Process Development and Quality Engineer. In 1989,
he became a Sales Engineering for Marposs Corporation,
an Italian manufacturer of computer controls and precision
measurement systems for the machine tool industry.
Mr. Egenolf led and developed technical sales for Marposs
product lines in the state of Indiana. He later joined
W.W. Grainger in 1993 as a Key Accounts Manager for
large automotive customers. In 1997, Mr. Egenolf became
President of the family-owned Egenolf Industrial Group
and led the company to 100% sales growth in five years
and recipient of the Indiana University’s growth
100 in both 2001 and 2003. With 25 years of industry
technical and operations leadership experience, Mr.
Egenolf led the transplant and start-up operations
for Flexon USA, a domestic distributor for iwis, Beteiligungs
GmbH & Co. KG, the German based manufacturer of
chains and drive systems. Under his leadership and
direction, Flexon USA has grown from $1.5 million in
revenue in 2001 to revenue exceeding $7.0 million in
2007. Mr. Egenolf holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering
from Purdue University, and an MBA from Indiana University.
William “Jeff” Jeffery,
President and CEO, IRMCO Inc., Evanston, Illinois. Mr. Jeffery was
instrumental in developing the first deep drawing synthetic
lubricants more than 20 years ago and is still very
much involved with driving environmental responsibility
and improvement in the same market. IRMCO, a 93-year
old family and employee-owned lubricant producer, is
currently leading technology advances in the field
of Advanced High Strength Steel forming improvements.
As President and CEO, Mr. Jeffery led IRMCO’s
business through dramatic industry changes that enabled
the company to evolve and flourish as a non-oil based
chemical manufacturing company. IRMCO has achieved
breakthroughs in metal forming lubrication technology.
With customers in more than 35 countries, IRMCO is
known internationally as an innovator of environmentally
focused advanced forming film and lubrication technologies.
IRMCO has been recognized by Loyola University as one
of Illinois’ top family businesses on three separate
occasions and is the current sponsor of the metal stamping
industry’s only environmental award. Mr. Jeffery
has served as President of The Illinois President’s
Association, Chairman of Purdue University’s
Entrepreneurship Center, and Chairman of the Original
Equipment Suppliers Association Environmental Council.
He currently serves as vice chair of the Fabricated
Metal Association Stamping Council and also serves
on the board of Winning Workplaces who along with the
Wall Street Journal recognizes the nations top small
business workplaces each year. Mr. Jeffery is also
a regular speaker at industry professional association
conferences and workshops and has spoken at The Lake
Forest Graduate School, Purdue University, and The
Federal Reserve Bank about managing change and sustainability.
In 2007 Mr. Jeffery was recognized by the Chicago Sun
Times as one of Chicago’s “Best Bosses”.
Mr. Jeffery holds a BA in Economics from Ripon College.
James L Sasanecki, Engineering
Vice President (retired) Citizen Machinery America,
the US Division of a large original equipment manufacturer
of Swiss-type CNC lathes. Mr. Sasanecki is considered
by many to be an expert in machining process development
and special devices for lathe machining. He is patent
author. He founded and sustained Brookdale Associates,
which specialized in CNC lathes, special device design,
and high pressure coolant systems. After twenty years
of successful growth, Brookdale was acquired by Marubeni-Citizen
Cincom in 2007. Mr. Sasanecki holds BA a degree from
Akron University.
Shawn D. Wischmeier,
Chief Investment Officer, Indiana Public Employees
Retirement Fund, Indianapolis, Indiana. After starting his career in
1996 as a Process Engineer in chemical and pharmaceutical
manufacturing, he later became a Senior Analyst at
Eli Lilly and Company where he was responsible for
strategic capital management and global treasury risk
management. In 2006, Mr. Wischmeier was elected CIO
of the Indiana Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF)
where he initiated and is leading changes in the management
of $17 billion in defined benefit and defined contribution
assets. In addition, he is developing and managing
relationships with over 60 public investment firms
and private market partnerships. Mr. Wischmeier is
a Certified Financial Analyst and holds a BS in Chemical
Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology,
MS Engineering Management, Northwestern University
2002, Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering, and
MBA, Northwestern University 2002, Kellogg School of
Management.
